Will adding skins change the game?

Will adding skins change the game?

My questions are arbout if the instilation of skin mods change the game at all? For example:

1. Does the armor you put on just show up over the skin mod, or do you not see the armor anymore?

2. Does adding a skin mod make it so you cannot play online anymore, or update with any patches or things like that?

3. Is there anything effected by installing one of the skin mods I find in this thread??
