Ghosts and Spirits
Talk about ghosts and spirits here.
People have been saying that there should be an age limit on oijia boards and evp equipment. Here are my thoughts.
There has to be an age limit on the boards. They now sell them in the fucking stores around town. I say you have to be 18+ but even then, most teens are young and retarded and will most likely end up getting spooked shitless by flying butter knives and floating pencils.
Now some things you cant put an age limit on for ghost hunting. (If you want to be a ghost hunter, read it ;D)
As for EVPs, it is impossible to put an age limit on that. An electronic voice phenomenon is just the captures of a disembodied voice/sound on an audio playback. I have taken MANY EVPs in my house and gotten many replies just with my webcam recorder. They would have to put age limits on microphones, webcams, recorders, ect. I highly doubt logitech would agree with that.
Now ghost boxes are very interesting. It is a modded Radioshack Radio in which has a mute pannel tweaked from the inside. This makes it so when you hold the SEARCH button it will continuously channel search until you hit it again, and OMG it still plays music! You see, spirits can communicate through white noise that high radio frequencies give off. With the ghost box on an infinite search, the voice of the entity can be amplified.
A classic form of ghost hunting still used today is the "Dowsing Rod." This can be found in almost any house. They are to pieces of metal, the same size, bent in the shape of an "L." Each rod is held in one hand and is pointed forward. Since spirits are made of Energy, and not matter, they release an electric magnetic field, or an "EMF." When an EMF hits these rods, it causes them to cross each other. This is not the most accurate way of ghost hunting though. When wiring is sticking out, plugs are unshielded, or when an electric device is leaking, it also gives off an EMF field.
Sometimes you will get a feeling of being watched. It might be a ghost, but it may also be what paranormal experts call a "Fear Cage." A Fear Cage is when an electronic object is giving out an unusually huge EMF reading. It could be a leaking fuse box, a broken microwave, or even a loose lightbulb on a lamp. A Fear Cage can result in the hearing voices, seeing things, becoming queezy, and dizziness. If you suspect you have a Fear Cage, consult an electrician to do a sweep.
A Pendulum is one of the oldest ways of paranormal investigation. The holder would ask the entity a few questions while holding a Pendulum at arms length away from them. If the entity was present it would spin. Depending on which way it spins can determine the energy of the spirit. Clockwise = Good Counter clockwise = Get the hell out.
Soooo....yeah. I am a young paranormal investigator... got a problem with it? >>

I'm a basic paranormal investigator who does things like... Stuff. That obviously doesn't work. But this stuff, this is awesome. Do you think you can teach me to make a playback box like that... Also, I need a dowsing rod, how would you hold them?
I also liked how you explained the counterclockwise pendulum.

To modify and make a ghost box you have to buy a Radio Shack 12-470 hand radio. They are about $15 so its not that much. Then you need a small Philips head screwdriver. The smaller the better. You have to open up the back panel of the Radio and reveal the circuit board. Unscrew the top and look on the other side until you see a few switches and wires with lettering on it such as "Play, pause, search, ect." Look on the circuit board for the word "Mute." Take some small pliers and trip the wire. Screw the circuit board and back, back on the radio and you have a ghost box! =D
Dowsing rods are simple. You hold the small bent end of a rod in each hand and then erect them forward. Simple, right?

Re: Ghosts and Spirits
I use dowsing rods to look for paranormal stuff in my house. I've seen a ghost around my house because my house was built where gold once was. So I've seen the workers, doesn't scare me, they're just looking for gold, lolz.
P.S. I also use dowsing rods to look for food. o.o If I went on a camping trip, in the forest, I would take dowsing rods.
Luke, dowsing rods are eeeeeasy to use. you hold it loose, but not too loose. You gotta keep still, and if both rods point one way, something is that way (spirits, food, water.) If they cross together You're under, above, or on, the object.
Funny thing. If you're in an abandoned house and use dowsing rods and they cross. Like chibi said, "Get the hell out."

Re: Ghosts and Spirits
The odd thing is yes the dowsing rods can be used for food and water. Back in the colonial times they were used as tools for which hunts. Hard to believe how far we have come. Anyway, I will be taking some EVPs tonight in the attic. If anyone is interested I will put it up on youtube.
