~Prologue~

My name is Rick Morris. And I'm wanted by the FBI. Enjoy my story.


~One~

I turned the key in the lock to my girlfriend's apartment. I placed my free hand on the .38 I was hiding in my back pocket, just in case the FBI had tracked me here. I twisted the doorknob and tiptoed in. I scanned the area. The apartment was exactly the way I had left it last night. Which, in my girlfriend's case, was a bad sign. It was three in the afternoon. All was quiet. Too quiet. I swiftly climbed up the stairs to her bedroom, where I rapped on the door.

"It's me..." I called, awaiting a reply. She didn't answer.

"Angela? It's Rick." I called again. Still no reply. "I'm coming in." I busted the door out of its frame and what I saw showed me that I couldn't trust anyone any more. Angela was lying on the bed in a mangled shape. Blood was splattered all over the walls and floor. There were three bullets on top of her dresser along with a note that read:

They're coming for you Rick. And there's no stopping it.

Wow Cooper. Way to be descriptive. T_T

But, I like the cliffhanger.
